Learning Platforms and VLE’s seem to be the hot topic in schools at present however, we are not sure how many schools have actually thought about how the library and its resources fit into this new technology.

Eclipse.net and Junior Librarian.net certainly allow you to have a simple link so the students can access the systems however, we’ve been working hard at taking this integration a step further.

In our eyes the library can provide some of the best and most appropriate content in a learning platform but sometimes you need to be able to see it for it to make sense.

To help with this, we’ve created our own learning platform site and added to examples of what’s possible. We’ve been working hard for the last year or so now, developing content and working with all the main learning platform providers to highlight the importance of embedding the library into this technology.
